Powerfoil 6® is Big Ass Fans' powerful HVLS-class industrial fan, designed to deliver high airflow and even air movement in large spaces such as warehouses, production halls, sports facilities, and distribution centers. It combines robust construction, longevity, and energy efficiency in a cost-effective package to improve both employee comfort and indoor air quality.
Powerfoil 6 comes pre-wired and factory tested, making installation straightforward and ensuring reliable operation from the moment of commissioning. Its industrial motor and enclosed helical gearbox are designed to withstand continuous use in demanding environments.
Powerfoil 6 delivers high airflow and wide coverage, improving energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Compared to smaller fans, it circulates air more effectively, which can reduce heating and cooling costs.
Six-blade design • Aluminum airfoil Powerfoil blades with patented profile and winglet safety features maximize airflow while reducing turbulence and noise. Motor and transmission • Enclosed industrial helical gearbox and durable bearings ensure smooth, quiet, and long-lasting operation. Speed control • Includes a digital variable frequency drive (VFD) with LCD/OLED display for precise fan power adjustment as needed. Recommended for use with a BafCon controller.
Powerfoil 6 can be mounted on various structures: I-beams, steel trusses, and purlins are all possible mounting surfaces. Installation is designed for industrial environments to withstand continuous use and demanding loads.
Safety system • The fan includes a comprehensive safety package, including safety cables, air cover restraints, and integrated safety mounts that exceed industry standards.
Powerfoil 6 is designed to withstand dust and normal industrial environments, but its IP rating is typically IP55 (not fully watertight), which is sufficient for most indoor and covered space applications.
Integration and control • Powerfoil 6 can be connected to Big Ass Fans control systems, such as the BAFCon controller, allowing fan operation to be managed centrally or as part of a building automation system.
